Made by Samelin in Estonia, this winter edition pairs a thick 2.8–3 mm water-repellent full-grain leather upper with a warm white faux-fur lining for cold-weather outdoor use. The direct-injected PU outsole and anatomical insole are built for steady everyday wear in demanding conditions.

What Size to Choose

What you need: 2 sheets of paper (A4), a pen, and a ruler — and find a hard floor space.

Size guide steps

Step 1. Stand on the paper with your heel touching the wall. Wear the socks you plan to use with your new shoes. If you plan to wear thick wool or winter socks, measure while wearing them and choose based on that measurement.

Step 2. Draw a line at the tip of your longest toe.

Step 3. Use your ruler to measure the distance from the edge of the paper (the wall side) to your mark.

If you are unsure between two sizes, take the smaller size – our shoes are larger than average. Our shoes have a wider average last, which is designed to fit the Scandinavian foot.

This size guide applies to both men and women. Samelin does not provide a separate women-specific fit guide for their boots, so choose by your foot length in centimeters.

Samelin has been manufacturing high-quality boots in Estonia for over 75 years. Defence Estonia reports that boots made by Samelin are used by several European defence forces, and that the M77 is also used by the Estonian Defence Forces. Known for practical military, work, and hiking footwear, Samelin states that its quality management system meets ISO 9001:2015 and AQAP 2110:2016 standards. In 2017, Samelin was named Estonia’s Defense Industry Company of the Year. While The Last Boot is not an official Samelin reseller yet, we are doing our best to make this happen in the future.
